What began as a personal idea gradually grew into a passion project and became a book we are now deeply grateful to share…

Open books, a cup of coffee, and a closed book titled 'Shavua' on a wooden table with a brick wall in the background, illuminated by warm sunlight.
A person writing in a notebook with a pen, holding a ceramic mug, sitting at a table with a blue placemat, outdoors with a blurred background of trees and a railing.
Open book on a tiled surface with a floral pattern, hands flipping the pages, with a focus on a page titled 'Direction' and 'Shabbat Shuva', written in English and Hebrew.
A black and white logo featuring a stylized hand making a peace sign integrated with a heart shape, with the letters 'W' and 'D' within the design.

SHAVUA is the culmination of more than two years of conversations, writing, designing, questioning, and refining.

More than a book to read, SHAVUA was created as a way to bring Jewish wisdom into conversation with everyday life.

SHAVUA has been an independent passion project from the very beginning. We appreciated personal journaling, but wanted something that connected personal thoughts to enduring ideas.

In many ways, we think of SHAVUA as only half-written. The space for personal reflection is not an addition to the book—it is the missing half of the conversation.

Every page was carefully pared back to leave room for the thoughts, questions, and discoveries that cannot be written in advance. In the end, we probably unwrote as much as we wrote.

As the manuscript evolved, Jerusalem-based designer Yitz Woolf became an invaluable creative partner, helping bring the project to its final form. Together, every page was shaped with care and intention.

Our hope is that SHAVUA reminds each person who opens it that their thoughts, reflections, and experiences matter, and that there is a place for them within the ongoing conversation of Jewish tradition.

We look forward to seeing SHAVUA accompany people through life’s many beginnings and milestones: a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, a year in Israel, college, marriage, parenthood, or simply a season of life that calls for a little more reflection, perspective, or connection. We hope it becomes a trusted companion for the weeks and years ahead.
